About The City Of God Community Church
Who we are
We are a community of believers in Jesus Christ the Lord. Our focus is to prepare the church for the second coming of Jesus. We strive to bring everyone in our congregation to a life of sanctification, spiritual maturity, and worship of Jesus Christ, our Lord. We also believe that the church has a high calling to bring the experience of the Kingdom of Heaven down on earth and in everyone’s life. Therefore, the whole person spirit, soul, and body can experience the redeeming work of Jesus Christ for the better while still living in this world. There is a seat for everyone at the CGCC; the rejected, the humiliated, the desperate, the heartbroken, the depressed, the oppressed, the sick, and the lost. It’s for all of us that the Son of God, Jesus Christ the Healer came to give hope and purpose of life, you will not be the same. We would like to fellowship with you and walk side by side together as the Holy Spirit our excellent Teacher, Counselor, and Guide, leads us in this journey toward the Kingdom of God.
MISSION
Our mission is to bring each person to the Christian faith and help them in their spiritual development for the advancement of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 28: 19-20)
VISION
Our vision is to see each person restored, equipped, and activated in their natural and supernatural God-given potentials to excel, change the world, and leave a legacy for future generations (Matthew 4: 23).
OBJECTIVE
- Celebrate together God's presence for who He is for us, honor Him, and give Him all the glory (Eph. 1:12)
- Build a family of believers in Christ where everyone can be encouraged to live Christ-like (Rom. 12:10; Heb. 10:25)
- Edify the body for a spiritual formation of everyone (Col. 1:28)
- Seek the lost (Mat. 28:19-20)
- Equip the Saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12)
Statement of faith
- 1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the all sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
- 2. We believe in God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
- 3. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and true Man.
- 4. We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died on the cross for us and, took our place and with His blood purchased the pardon for us. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
- 5. We believe that salvation is wholly through grace, apart from man's works, and for anyone who confesses his faith to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
- 6. We believe that Water Baptism, by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and also that the Lord's Supper in remembrance of the suffering and death of Christ are ordinances to be observed by the Church.
- 7. We believe that it is our duty to identify ourselves with a congregation of believers with whom we can worship God, observe the ordinance of Christ, exhort, and support one another, labor for the salvation of others and work together to advance the kingdom of God.
- 8. We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of Jesus Christ the Lord. Given the fact that no man knows the hour of His second coming, the church should work and prepare believers to get ready anytime.
- 9. We believe that these events will occur at the end of time: the second coming of Jesus, the resurrection of the Saints, the tribulation, the millennium, the final judgment, and the final state of the new heavens and the new earth.
- 10. We believe that all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ: the redeemed to be delivered unto everlasting life and unrepentant unto everlasting punishment.

About Pastor Flavien
Pastor Flavien has been prepared for the purpose of ministry through Groupe Charismatique Sacre Coeur in Kinshasa, The international Church of the Foursquare Gospel, Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Dallas Baptist University, and Oral Roberts University. Pastor Flavien is a humble man of God with a pastoral heart. As a teacher, he is dedicated in working to see a healthy church, healthy families, and a healthy community for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.His favorite Scripture is Colossian 1: 28-29. “We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose, also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works in me.” Pastor Flavien is married to Pastor Regine Kazadi and together they have seven children: Ursule, Priscille, Silas, Paul, Gloriel, Benedict, and Oda.
